Oh hey there! Welcome to my little slice of the internet. Let me start by telling you a little bit about me and what you can expect to find here.
I’m Taran and I’m an undomestic mom. Motherhood started for me in February 2015 when I welcomed my first beautiful daughter earth side. Georgia Rose, fierce and vivacious as the day is long, made me a mom and has not gone a day without teaching me something new. I welcomed my second pink bundle of joy in July 2017. Kerrigan Kennedy has been a sweet and lovable addition to our clan. My husband and I are high school sweethearts and we’re navigating the parenting game as best we can while trying to maintain our version of a happy marriage. I stay home with my girls while watching a few other tots and my husband works full-time in the IT industry. We are polar opposites but that’s what makes our life so exciting. If it weren’t for my husband I’d be on the next episode of Hoarders, justifying my collection of expired canned goods and college notebooks. I’m living, breathing proof that you can be a great mom even if you’re not a great homemaker.
I wanted to start a blog to not only share things that I find incredibly useful but also to share my truth. I heard a fantastic quote today that made me finally buckle down and make my dream and reality: “Make your mess your message.” Five little words stopped me dead in my tracks. Mostly because I’m an extremely messy person so a positive spin on that immediately resonates with me but also because I do have quite a few messages I want to share with the world. So here we are: Umdomestic Mom. I want to spread positivity and appreciate as many beautiful moments in life that I can while forgiving myself for the untidy ones.
Plans for this blog include the following: meal planning, recipes, crafts for kids and adults alike, gift ideas, random product reviews, life advice, life anti-advice, marital talk, money talk, The Office trivia and random info on being a work-at-home mom. Stick around and enjoy this journey with me.

Taran is a self-proclaimed undomestic mom. She thrives as a stay-at-home-mom by consistently carving out time for herself and practicing realistic self-care. As a busy mom of 3, she knows that if mama ain’t happy, nobody’s happy! With a focus on how SAHMs can carve out time for themselves everyday, she teaches fellow SAHMs how they can do the same.
