Mother’s Day is May 13th this year which means it’s less than a month away! Finding the perfect gift for the special moms in our life can be tricky sometimes. Personally, I love something sentimental as well as luxurious. I don’t like to brag but I got the Dundee for Best Mom last year. NBD.
Taking something like an inside joke or bit from a favorite show is a sure fire way to impress your mom. Yet sometimes we wait a bit too long to order something that specialized so we need to Amazon Prime it. I totally get it, that’s typically my M.O. Below you’ll find my favorite gifts to get the ladies in your life that all arrive in 2 days.
Under $25
This journal is actually designed b y yours truly! This is guaranteed to make your mom laugh. Plus, she can use it to start a journaling routine or just write grocery lists.
This precious and simple gold earrings will look great on anyone. They’re gold-plated sterling silver so they won’t turn green. Trust me when I say your mom will love these. And they’re less than $15!
Essential oils have about a trillion uses. From DIY cleaners to uplifting your mood, these natural remedies can have a place in every home. I have gifted them many times and they are always well received.
A diffuser is a fantastic companion gift to a box of essential oils. Diffusing is a great was to use oils and it makes your house smell incredible. This bad boy is very similar to the one I have and it’s only $17!
First of all, how stinkin’ cute is this planter?! Near peed my pants when I saw it. Mother’s Day is always a good time to gift some plants and succulents will last way longer than cut flowers. If you buy this for your mom, just grab a few succulents from Home Depot and plant them for her. I guarantee she will be as smitten as I am.
This journal was love at first write for me. I got it for Christmas and started it at the beginning of the year but you can start them whenever you want. It lists each date with 5 blank sections so you can write a little blurb about the day for 5 years. It makes journalling easy and fun. I can’t wait to get years in and reflect on where I was the previous year. I find there is plenty of room to account for the day but doesn’t feel daunting to fill. Honestly, I think anyone 12-100 would love this journal.
These modal pajamas are the softest pajamas I have ever felt. My first pair came from Costco and after they stopped carrying them I had to hunt some down on Amazon. Stretchy, soft and light; these pajamas are perfect for summer. They come in a bunch of pretty colors and range in size from XS-XXL. Nothing like letting Mom get comfy on Mother’s Day and beyond:)
Under $50
These Urbanity wine glasses are not only unbreakable but they are dishwasher safe! I repeat: DISHWASHER SAFE. So after your next alfresco soiree, you can just toss these bad boys in the dishwasher and be done with it. Can everything in my life be unbreakable and dishwasher safe? That’d be great, thanks.
The jury’s still out on whether or not a vacuum is a good Mother’s Day gift. I, for one, love my dust buster and I couldn’t live without it. My friends and I were discussing them at length this week and all agreed they are life savers. I gifted one to my sister a few years ago and she was thrilled so I say go ahead and do it!
Perfume can be a great gift but it can also be tricky. Gifting a sampler is your best bet because it gives variety. This particular sampler is one of Marc Jabob’s Daisy perfume which I have found to be a favorite among many women I know. With 4 different scents, one is sure to be a hit. At $42, it’s a rock star option.
Under $100
Luxury skincare is something that moms always appreciate. Mostly because we feel guilty for spending the money on ourselves but also because we’re actually concerned about our skin now. LOL! This is a great gift for someone who loves getting facials or spa treatments.
Ahh, I love these slippers. They were gifted to me several years ago and they are still going strong. Super warm and super comfy! Definitely a splurge for slippers so they make a perfect gift.
Quality luggage, we all need it but it’s not something at the top of our list to buy. I gifted a Delsy carry-on to my Grandma years ago and she still uses it today. The 360 spinner wheels are clutch for zooming through the airport without feeling like your lugging a body around. (Unless you are travelling with kids and in that case you’ll be feeling like that for the next decade or so.) At the time of writing this, the Titanium goes for just under $92 which is a steal! If you have a travelling mama in your life, I highly recommend going this route.
I hope these suggestions help you guys nail Mother’s Day. Next week I’ll be giving some cute ideas on handmade gifts, so stay tuned!
