Happy Wednesday friends! On Monday I started a class that I’ll be in for the next 8 weeks and I got a little wrapped up in it and didn’t get Meal Plan Monday up on time. Promise to be better next week!
The good news is that with this class I’ll be doing 5 LIVE videos a week on my Facebook page! I’m going to get into a whole bunch of topics, doing live cooking demos and maybe even have a few guests! So head on over to my Facebook page and turn on notifications to get updated as soon as I go Live. I look forward to chatting with you guys over there!
Facebook LIVE
Check out what I bought this week on yesterday’s Live. Oh and I actually left a bag in the car and didn’t realize until later so there’s more to what I got for $93. The missing bag had two loaves of bread, a package of English muffins and 2 dozens eggs.
This Week’s Plan
I’m still working on recipe development for the $100 Vegetarian Aldi Meal Plan so you’ll see quite a few vegetarian meals in the next few weeks. Which is honestly great because I’ve really been wanting to cut down on our meat consumption anyways.
Sunday: Slow Cooker Chicken Chili & Bread Machine Bread
Monday: Breakfast Sandwiches & Hashbrowns
Tuesday: Mac ‘n’ Cheese & Broccoli
Wednesday: Split Pea Soup & Biscuits
Thursday: Veggie Lo Mein & Egg Rolls
Friday: Chicken Pad Thai & Asian Salad
Saturday: Frozen Pizza
What I Spent:
I spent $92.11 on my Sunday trip to Aldi. We typically budget $160/week but for the 12 weeks leading up to Black Friday I’m only spending $100/week. I’m still going strong with the $100/week budget, like I said I actually came in under budget by about $7. I was afraid I was going to be OVER this week, lol! This is week 5 for me so I have $300 saved up already. Crazy excited over that! Seeing the money add up has really motivated me to continue.
Last Week Recap:
Perfect week! We had everything on the meal plan last week. Whoop whoop, that hasn’t happened in a long time. I was really happy with how the vegetarian meals turned out. Can’t wait to get the $100 Vegetarian Meal Plan to you guys!
That’s all I have for this week! I hope you guys find the new format more interesting and helpful if you’re grocery shopping on a budget. Check out last week’s MPM if you missed it! Come follow me on Facebook to keep up to date with my LIVE grocery hauls and my weekly #undomesticmomhacks
