Hello friends! I’m back again this week for another #MPM. Can we make that a thing?? Like #MCM?! Phew, this summer is a busy one. We celebrated Kerrigan’s first birthday on Saturday and were blown away by how many people wished our beautiful babe a happy birthday. Seriously we have an amazing circle of people in our lives and we are truly grateful for that.
Now that’s the party is over, I can focus on the next BIG party of the summer: my BFF’s wedding! She’s getting married on Saturday so we’re in full wedding mode over here. With that in mind, I kept the meal plan pretty low-key this week. A couple of crockpot meals and some quick meals I can throw together.
Below is my Facebook LIVE grocery haul. See what I bought this week and how much I spent! Let me know if you guys are liking these grocery hauls in the comments:)
The Plan
Sunday: Leftover Pizza from the party
Monday: Chicken Stir Fry & Rice
Tuesday: Chicken Broccoli Cheesy Bake
Wednesday: Sausage Sheet Pan Meal
Thursday: Crockpot Chicken Enchiladas
Friday: Crockpot Chicken Chili
Saturday: Frozen Pizza for the girls

What I Spent:
I spent $118.91 on my Sunday trip to Aldi, very close to what I spent last week. We are currently budgeting $160/week for our family of four but as you guys see, we eat almost all of our meals at home. From my research, most families of four typically spend between $146-289/week so we’re definitely at the low end! We shop primarily at Aldi and I highly recommend it if you’re grocery shopping on a budget.
Last Week Recap:
Those dang fish tacos just weren’t meant to be, lol! I finally got the fish thawed on Monday and the corn tortillas had gone bad. So I broiled the flounder and put it on a salad. I did make the veggie soup/grilled cheese and cobb salad. I ended up improvising one night when I forgot to thaw chicken for the stir fry and made a chicken gnocchi soup with a rotisserie chicken I picked up from Costco. (Add $10.49 to last week’s grocery bill because I grabbed two rotisserie chickens when I was ordering Kerrigan’s cake.) It was straight-up Olive Garden in the UM houseghold last week with the soup and salads.
Kitchen Essential
Steaming veggies is a go-to side dish when I don’t have anything else planned. If I’m making rice, I’ll use my rice cooker to make both but if not, I love using my microwave veggie steamer because it’s super easy to use and the veggies turn out great.
This one is from Tupperware but I couldn’t find it on their website:/ I did find this microwave steamer on Amazon that seems to be very similar and has great reviews. Plus it’s only $10!
