Hello lovelies! Another Maniac Monday over here. Yep now that song is stuck in your head, sorry not sorry:) Hopefully everyone had a nice weekend celebrating the amazing dad’s in their life. We had a great time having our annual Father’s Day pool party. Perfect day for a pool party since it was in the 90’s and sunny! It was a hot week here in Chicago and I’m glad my meal plan was super simple. Don’t laugh when you see it!
The Plan
Yep, meat and veggies all week long. I didn’t even bother designating a day for them. Honestly I was strapped for time to plan last week and I ended up bringing Georgia with me to Aldi, which I NEVER do, so I needed to keep it simple. So we grilled or sauteed meat and veg every night. I only took 3 pictures because my mind was somewhere else.

We did have leftovers one night and we ate out one night. I’ve got to start making those separate days on the plan since I do one each week. Grilling meat and veggies was a super simple and healthy way to cook dinner every night but the grocery bill was definitely higher than normal. Healthy, quick and inexpensive; you can pick two! Honestly that’s how I feel. Which is fine, we’re switching it up every week.
Next Week
As I write this I still haven’t gone grocery shopping for the week. I might get Instacart or I might make a quick trip to Aldi when Sean gets home. I think I’ll keep the meals healthy and inexpensive so they might not be super quick. Expect to see a lot of slow cooker recipes next week:) I’d love to hear what you guys have on the plan this week or any simple summer dinner ideas you might have for me to try out!
